Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.
Spawn Using Animal Name
To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [143]. You will then receive the Catfish item.
Spawn Using Character Name
Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.
However, if you opt for this method, name your character [143]while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Catfish item.

The Catfish is a fish that can be caught in the river (in Pelican Town or Cindersap Forest), the Secret Woods, the Witch's Swamp, and the Riverlands Farm, Forest Farm, or Hill-Top Farm during Spring and Fall when raining, or in Spring, Summer, and Fall during rain in the Secret Woods or Witch's Swamp. It can also be caught in Winter at these locations if a Rain Totem is used. It can be randomly be found in Garbage Cans during Spring and Fall, or at the Traveling Cart for 600–1,000g.
Catfish can be caught regardless of weather, time, or season using Magic Bait.
