The Glow Ring is a ring that can be obtained by breaking boxes and barrels, or as a special monster drop, on floors 40+ of The Mines and floors 1-39 of the Skull Cavern. It is a possible reward for the chest on floor 20 of the Mines if "remixed" mine rewards are selected in the Advanced Options menu when starting a new game.

The Glow Ring may be found in Fishing Treasure Chests at Fishing skill 2+, but only if your Luck is buffed (higher magnitude buffs increase your chances). It is also one of the possible gifts your character can receive at the Feast of the Winter Star.

The Glow Ring emits light in a radius of 10 tiles around the player. The effects of the Glow Ring stack with another Glow Ring, the Small Glow Ring, the Glowstone Ring, or the Iridium Band.

Glow Ring Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [517]. You will then receive the Glow Ring item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [517] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Glow Ring item.
