The Taro Tuber is a type of seed. Mature Plants yield Taro Roots.
Taro Tubers can be obtained from Common Chests or Magma Duggies in the Volcano Dungeon, from Seed Makers using Taro Roots, by breaking open Golden Coconuts, from the Island Trader for 2 Bone Fragments, from Lionfish Fish Ponds when the population reaches 4, or from Ginger Island artifact spots and panning.
Taro Tubers planted in most farm tiles take 10 days to mature with watering each day, as with other crops. However, Taro Tubers planted approximately within 3 tiles of a water source (such as a Farm Pond or a river) in any direction are considered to be irrigated. Paddies need not be continuous with each other or adjacent to water in order to count as irrigated. Irrigated Taro Tubers mature in 7 days and do not require watering.

Taro Tuber Cheat Help
Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.
Spawn Using Animal Name
To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [831]. You will then receive the Taro Tuber item.
Spawn Using Character Name
Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.
However, if you opt for this method, name your character [831] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Taro Tuber item.
