The Golden Egg is an animal product obtained from Golden Chickens. Golden chickens will produce a golden egg every day as long as they are fed.

To obtain Golden Eggs and Golden Chickens, Perfection must have been achieved. Progress can be tracked in Qi's Walnut Room.

After reaching Perfection, the first Golden Egg can be obtained in four ways:

Golden Eggs can be put into an incubator in a Big or Deluxe Coop to hatch a Golden Chicken 6 days later, or 3 days with the Coopmaster Profession.

Eating Golden Egg restores 25 energy and 11 health.

Golden Egg Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [928]. You will then receive the Golden Egg item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [928] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Golden Egg item.
