Stardew Valley Save File Checkup

Drop in your save file and see exactly what you have left — bundles, shipping, museum, walnuts, friendships, achievements, perfection. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Finding your save file

Windows

Paste into the Run dialog (Win+R) or File Explorer's address bar.

Mac

In Finder, press ⌘⇧G and paste the path. The folder is hidden by default.

Linux / Steam Deck

On Steam Deck, switch to Desktop mode first. The folder is hidden — press Ctrl+H in Files.

Inside the Saves folder, each farm has its own subfolder named FarmerName_Id. Drop the file with the matching name (no extension) — not SaveGameInfo and not the _old backup.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find my Stardew Valley save file?
On Windows, open the Run dialog (Win+R) and paste %AppData%\StardewValley\Saves. On Mac and Linux, the path is ~/.config/StardewValley/Saves. On Steam Deck (desktop mode), same as Linux. Inside, each save lives in a folder named <FarmerName>_<Id>. Drag the file with the matching name (no extension) — not the SaveGameInfo file.
Does my save file get uploaded to your server?
No. Your save is parsed entirely in your browser using a background Web Worker. The file never leaves your device, nothing is sent over the network, and nothing is logged. You can verify by opening browser DevTools → Network tab while you upload.
Can I check my save on Switch, mobile, or PS5?
Unfortunately no — console and mobile versions of Stardew Valley don't give the player access to the raw save file. The checkup tool only works for the PC, Mac, Linux, and Steam Deck versions where you can read the save folder.
What version of Stardew Valley does this support?
The parser is built and tested against Stardew Valley 1.6 (the current version). Older saves (1.5 and earlier) may parse partially but some categories will be incomplete or missing. Modded saves should work for vanilla categories but anything mod-specific is ignored.
Will my progress here update the trackers on this site?
Yes — after you upload a save, you'll see a 'Sync to my trackers' button. It populates the Community Center bundle tracker, shipping tracker, museum tracker, and walnut tracker with everything your save already has. It only adds — it never removes anything you've manually checked off.
