Banana Sapling Information

The Banana Sapling is a Fruit Tree sapling that takes 28 days to grow into a Banana Tree, after which it will produce one fruit each day during the Summer, or year-round on Ginger Island. Like all Fruit Trees, it will also produce fruit all year round if planted in the Greenhouse.

It can be purchased from the Island Trader in exchange for 5 Dragon Teeth. Banana Saplings can sometimes be found by breaking open a Golden Coconut. Professor Snail also gives a Banana Sapling as a reward for completing the Large Animal collection in the Island Field Office.

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [69]. You will then receive the Banana Sapling item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [69] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Banana Sapling item.
