A Copper Bar is created by smelting 5 Copper Ore in a furnace with 1 coal for fuel. Smelting the copper in a furnace takes 30 in-game minutes. Shadow Brutes and Shadow Shaman may also drop a Copper Bar when slain (4% chance). Copper Bar may occasionally be found in Garbage Cans after receiving the Furnace blueprints from Clint.

Copper bars are used in a variety of crafting recipes and are used to upgrade tools. They can be sold for 60g, or 90g with the Blacksmith Profession.

Copper Bar Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [334]. You will then receive the Copper Bar item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [334] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Copper Bar item.
