Driftwood is a type of trash that can be caught when fishing during all seasons, in any location, using either a Fishing Pole or a Crab Pot. Also, any crab pot fish may produce Driftwood when placed in a Fish Pond.

Driftwood may be recycled into Wood or Coal, or chipped into Wood.

Driftwood Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [169]. You will then receive the Driftwood item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [169] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Driftwood item.
