Fairy Dust is a craftable item that allows the player to make a machine immediately finish the process it is carrying out. It is a single-use item. The player receives the recipe after completing "The Pirate's Wife" quest for Birdie.

When used in casks, the product does not go directly to iridium quality unless it is currently in gold quality. Instead it will upgrade to the next quality level each time Fairy dust is used until iridium quality has been reached.

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [872]. You will then receive the Fairy Dust item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.
