Green Algae Information
Green Algae is an item that can be caught using a Fishing Pole during all seasons at any freshwater location, with the exception of the Farm Pond on the Standard Farm. It is never caught in Crab Pots.
It is also dropped from Green Slimes (10% chance), and may be produced in Slimejack, Crayfish, Snail, or Periwinkle Fish Ponds.
Green Algae is displayed in the Fish section of the collection tab, and counts towards the four fishing Achievements. However, it is otherwise not considered to be a fish, and therefore cannot be sold to Willy at the Fish Shop.

Green Algae Cheat Help
Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.
Spawn Using Animal Name
To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [153]. You will then receive the Green Algae item.
Spawn Using Character Name
Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.
However, if you opt for this method, name your character [153] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Green Algae item.
