The Magma Geode is a Mineral deposit that contains minerals, artifacts, ores, or basic resources. It can be found on levels 81 to 119 of The Mines or in Fishing Treasure Chests. It can also be received as a gift at the Feast of the Winter Star. It may be additionally be found by breaking boxes and barrels in the Skull Cavern. Five Magma Geodes may be produced by Lava Eel in a Fish Pond containing at least 9 fish, and 10 Magma Geodes may be produced in a pond containing 10 fish. Magma Geodes can also be obtained by pickaxing Magma Geode Nodes. These are found in the small quarry on the Hill-top Farm and Four Corners Farm. Magma Geodes may also drop from a train.

The Magma Geode can be broken open by Clint in the Blacksmith shop for 25g or by using a Geode Crusher.

Magma Geode Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [537]. You will then receive the Magma Geode item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [537] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Magma Geode item.

Magma Geode Possible Contents

When opened, Magma Geode drops one randomly-selected item from the pool below, plus a chance of coal or basic ores/minerals from the default geode pool.
