Mead Information

| Item ID | 459 |
| Category | Objects |
| Subcategory | Basic |
| Sell Price | 300 |
Mead is an Artisan Good made from placing Honey inside a Keg, taking 10 hours. It is also available at the Ginger Island Resort for 800g. Unlike Wine and Juice however, the value of the Mead is not affected by the type of honey used. The sell price of Mead is 200g, and only aging or the Artisan Profession can increase it. Several types of Flower Honey sell for more than Mead, so the player can actually lose money by making Mead. Pam sells Mead in her shop at the Desert Festival for 20 Calico Eggs.
Mead can also be obtained for free from the bar in the Pirate Cove by speaking with the bartender while wearing the Pirate Hat, Deluxe Pirate Hat, or Eye Patch. This can only be done once per night.
When consumed, Mead causes a Tipsy buff that decreases Speed by 1.
Mead Effects
Drinking Mead restores 75 energy and 33 health.
Mead Villager Gift Reactions
Give Mead as a gift to build friendship. Each villager reacts differently — pick someone who loves it for the biggest friendship boost.

Mead Cheat Help
Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.
Spawn Using Animal Name
To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [459]. You will then receive the Mead item.
Spawn Using Character Name
Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.
However, if you opt for this method, name your character [459] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Mead item.
