Quality Fertilizer is a Fertilizer that improves the chance to grow a quality crop. It can be crafted, obtained from a Bone Mill, or purchased for 150g from Pierre's General Store beginning in year 2. It may also occasionally be sold by the Traveling Cart (in any year) for 100–1,000g. Thirty Quality Fertilizer are the reward for completing the 5,000 Bundle in the Vault.

Quality Fertilizer must be placed on tilled soil before a seed has sprouted.

Quality Fertilizer only affects the basic harvest, which means that extra crops gained at harvest (i.e. Coffee Bean, Blueberry, Cranberries) will be of regular quality.

Quality Fertilizer Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [369]. You will then receive the Quality Fertilizer item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [369] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Quality Fertilizer item.
