Rice is a cooking ingredient that can be used in a variety of recipes. It can be purchased for 200g at Pierre's General Store and for 250g at JojaMart.
Players have the ability to craft Rice from Unmilled Rice by using a Mill. Once placed in the mill, one Unmilled Rice will make one Rice. Unmilled Rice placed inside will appear as Rice in the box beside the Mill the next morning. The building can process an unlimited amount of rice per day.
Note: Rice made using the mill is profitable; it has a higher sell price than Unmilled Rice. However, using Preserves Jars would be slightly more profitable per unit of rice if there is sufficient capacity, as the resulting pickles would sell for 110g.

Rice Cheat Help
Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.
Spawn Using Animal Name
To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [423]. You will then receive the Rice item.
Spawn Using Character Name
Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.
However, if you opt for this method, name your character [423] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Rice item.
