Stone is a basic resource obtained by mining rocks with a pickaxe. Stone can also be purchased from Robin at the Carpenter's Shop, or found in Fishing Treasure Chests. Stone Golems and Gray Slimes also drop Stone. Fifty stones can also be received as a gift from Robin at the Feast of the Winter Star. Stone may also be obtained by digging up an Artifact Spot. A Stonefish Fish Pond may produce 30 Stone when the population reaches 9. Stone can also be acquired by fishing in the fountain left of the Community Center. Robin sells Stone in her shop at the Desert Festival for 1 Calico Egg.
Normal rocks yield between 1 and 3 stones. Boulders yield 10 stones.
Stone is used in various crafting recipes and is also required as a form of payment when purchasing certain buildings and building upgrades at the Carpenter's Shop. The Desert Trader will sell 1 Fiber in exchange for 5 Stone on Tuesdays.

Stone Cheat Help
Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.
Spawn Using Animal Name
To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [762]. You will then receive the Stone item.
Spawn Using Character Name
Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.
However, if you opt for this method, name your character [762] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Stone item.
