Sugar Information

Sugar is a cooking ingredient that can be used in a variety of recipes. It can be purchased year round from Pierre's General Store for 100g or from JojaMart for 125g. 4-7 Sugar may occasionally be found in Supply Crates on the Beach Farm provided the player has upgraded the Farmhouse at least once.

Players have the ability to craft Sugar from Beets by using a Mill. Once placed in the mill, one Beet will make three Sugar. Beets placed inside will appear as Sugar in the box beside the Mill the next morning.

Sugar Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [245]. You will then receive the Sugar item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [245] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Sugar item.
