Ostrich Eggs are animal products obtained from Ostriches or by solving Journal Scrap #10 on Ginger Island. It can also be found in Volcano Dungeon rare chests.

An Ostrich Egg can be placed in a Mayonnaise Machine to produce 10 Mayonnaise. The quality of the Mayonnaise will be equal to the quality of the Ostrich Egg used.

Putting an Ostrich Egg into an Ostrich Incubator in a Barn will hatch an Ostrich in 15,000m (9.5d). This is cut to 7,500m (4.75d) with the Coopmaster Profession.

Ostrich Egg Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [289]. You will then receive the Ostrich Egg item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [289] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Ostrich Egg item.
