How to Make Scarecrow

Give Scarecrow as a gift to build friendship. Each villager reacts differently — pick someone who loves it for the biggest friendship boost. Gifts given on a villager's birthday count 8× — a loved gift jumps from +80 to +640 friendship.

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [(BC)8]. You will then receive the Scarecrow item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [(BC)8] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Scarecrow item.
