Fiber Information

Fiber is a resource obtained by destroying Weeds or harvesting fully-grown Fiber Seeds. Each weed has a 50% chance to drop 1 Fiber when cut with a Scythe, Axe, Pickaxe, Hoe, or Sword, or blown up by a bomb. The Desert Trader will also exchange five stone for one fiber on Tuesdays. Vincent sells Fiber in his shop at the Desert Festival for 1 Calico Eggs per set of 10.

Weeds that drop Fiber can frequently be found in high quantities on Floors 25-29 and 81-109 of the Mines. The late-game Mutant Bug Lair is also a good source, generating 40-70 fiber from its weeds, which regenerate every few days.

Wilderness Golems on the Wilderness Farm map have a 90% chance of dropping Fiber, and a 50% chance of dropping a second Fiber, when slain.

Fiber is always normal quality.

Fiber Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [771]. You will then receive the Fiber item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [771] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Fiber item.
