Tree Fertilizer Information

Tree Fertilizer is a Fertilizer that speeds the growth of any wild trees. It must be sprinkled on a tree seed or sapling that has already been planted, not on an unplanted tile. It does not speed up growth of Fruit Trees or Tea Bushes. It can be crafted at Foraging level 7.

Seeds/saplings already sprinkled with Tree Fertilizer take on a red hue until fully grown. Most fertilized trees advance one stage of growth each night until stage 4, reaching the final stage of growth after two nights. The only exception is a Mahogany Tree, which has only a 60% chance to advance to the next stage each night if fertilized.

Fertilized seeds and seedlings grow even in Winter. Unfertilized trees do not grow at all in winter.

Tree Fertilizer Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [805]. You will then receive the Tree Fertilizer item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [805] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Tree Fertilizer item.
