Wedding Ring Information

Although most rings in Stardew Valley can be equipped, the Wedding Ring cannot - it is only carryable in your inventory/chests. This item can only be crafted after the recipe has first been purchased from the Traveling Cart (cost is 500 gold). It is used to propose to another player.

The Wedding Ring is a craftable item used to propose Marriage in a Multiplayer game. The recipe can be purchased from the Traveling Cart for 500g.

To propose marriage to another player, the ring must be given to the player, who has the option to accept or refuse it. If accepted, the two players become engaged. As with villager marriage, the wedding ceremony will normally take place in 3 days. After engagement is accepted, the Wedding Ring cannot be used to marry again.

The Wedding Ring can be equipped like other rings, but has no added bonus.

Like other rings, the Wedding Ring can be sold to the Adventurer's Guild.

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [801]. You will then receive the Wedding Ring item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [801] while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Wedding Ring item.
